Workshops, Presentations, Guest Speakers

The McGuire Center is committed to providing students and the Tucson region with access to the best minds in entrepreneurship. Guest speakers of exceptional entrepreneurial achievement visit the McGuire Center on a regular basis, building productive relationships among entrepreneurs, angel investors, students, and others in the region. Such relationships support and nurture innovation and economic growth in Southern Arizona through education, economic development, investment, and management. Recent speakers include Karl Eller, John May, and Larry Wilson. All events are open to the public unless otherwise noted.

IdeaFunding

IdeaFunding is an annual one-day workshop for entrepreneurship — individuals interested in bringing a new product or service to market, early stage companies, and individuals within established firms exploring entrepreneurial new directions.

Established in 1998, IdeaFunding has become a regional tradition. Its long-term commitment to advance and stimulate entrepreneurial capacity and opportunity has positioned it as the region's premier networking, business integration, and knowledge sharing event.
